Meet the designer
Anene Ferreira
The boundless creativity to be found in design and sewing ignited a spark at a early age in Anene. She snipped away at bits and pieces of fabric, leaving behind an ever roaming mess, to create inexperienced but surprising masterpieces any dog lover would be envious of.
That's the short of how it all started.
She studied fashion design in 2000 / 2001 at Victoria Toma Fashion Institute and was 'crowned' best student at the end of her studies.
She created her own label - Evelance - and started designing and distributing mother of the bride wear to the greater South Africa, while designing and making wedding dresses and evening dresses to selected clientele.
The demand for her exquisite evening dresses increased to such an extent that she started focusing solely on formal wear which marked the beginning of Ferreira Couture.
In 2017, two of her dresses reached the Sarie "Matric farewell dress of the year" top ten, with both Wilke Naude and Cherise Louw's dresses being nominated. Cherise Louw won!
In 2021 she moved to Malta. Took part in numerous Malta Fashion Weeks, dressed Malta's candidate for Miss Universe, Miss Supranational, Muzika-Muzika and, last but not least, Malta's candidate for Eurovision held in Malmo, Sweden, 2024.
Also, 2024, she moved back to Cape Town, South Africa, where she already dressed numerous Celebrities and is steadily building up momentum.
